Box Sash Windows London Surrey Hampshire

Multi-layer timber sections with opposing grains even out the moisture movements and is particularly effective in resisting warping and twisting.

All our windows and doors are made only from Multi-layered (Engineered) sections.

The use of engineered wood products has been long established in Britain for long span timber structures in a variety of ways and in very demanding environments such as stadiums, roller-coasters, swimming pools and bridges.

It is very common in continental Europe, but quite rare in Britain is its use for door and window sections.

Engineered wood products are preferred over solid wood due to certain comparative advantages:

  • Engineered wood is man-made, it can be designed to meet application-specific performance requirements.

  • Engineered wood products are stronger and less prone to humidity-induced warping and twisting than equivalent solid woods. It is the twisting of wood during the wet weather, which causes windows and doors to stick.

We only use quality Softwood and Hardwood from sustainable forests and approved by Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC).

Our products are made of Multi-layer timbers such as European Redwood (Pine), Meranti or Oak available in variety of different finishes.
